Terms

1. Organisers: The B-Hive competition is organised in partnership with Pitch Consultants Ltd and Marketing Birmingham Ltd

2. Closing date and time: Competition closes for entries on 8th March 2010, shortlist will be announced 15th March.

3. Prize: Approximately 24 placements will be made available from four categories; (i) Marketing, (ii) PR (iii) Online design and (iv) graphic design. Four winners will be selected per discipline, each will receive four weeks work placement at two companies (totalling 8 weeks) and 20 runners up will each receive four weeks placement at one company.

4. Judging: The judging will take place on 22nd March 2010 and 23rd March 2010 at Pitch Consultants Ltd, Norfolk House in Birmingham City Centre and will consist of a panellist of judges from the companies offering work experience and organisers.  

5. Rules: 

5a. All decisions are final and placements will be chosen for the competition winners by the organisers.

5b. The competition is open to students/ graduates between the period 2008 – 2009 from University of Birmingham, Birmingham City University, University College Birmingham, Aston University and Birmingham Metropolitan College.   

5c. By entering the competition, entrants will be deemed to have read and understood these rules and be bound by them. 

5d. No responsibility will be taken by the organisers of B-Hive for any answers that are illegible, misdirected, lost for technical or other reasons or received after the closing date. 

5e. The organiser’s reserves the absolute right to disqualify any entrant to any competition which it considers has used improper means to enter. 

6. The Placement Prize: 

6a. If the placement is no longer available, the organisers reserve the right to transfer the placement to alternate suitable company, although every attempt will be made to resolve such a situation. 

6b. All winners must comply with the codes of conduct set by the company in which they are placed. 

6c. Winners who receive placement prizes will be paid £500 for the entire placement period. This fee will be paid directly from the placement organisation, not from B-Hive organisers.  

6d. B-Hive organisers and associated partners from time to time will require to use your ‘experience’ to promote the initiative and for wider student/graduate campaigns, by accepting the prize you would be required to assist with this promotion.
